KYC & AML Policy
Everyone at Port Perry Casino who opens an account, deposits or makes a withdrawal must follow this page. Its rules start when you sign up and run until your account closes.
Understanding why we verify
1.1 Each player goes through three checks: we confirm you are 19+, that you are a real person with a genuine identity, and that local law in your area allows gambling.
1.2 Canadian law sets requirements for age checks, identity confirmation and the prevention of money laundering. Verifying players is how we comply.
1.3 You benefit from this process too. It makes it far more difficult for someone to register in your name or seize control of your existing account.
Confirming your age and identity
2.1 Deposits are possible only after identity and geolocation checks have been completed. Many players need nothing beyond data checks.
2.2 When documents are needed, we can request:
- Photo identification issued by a government, like a passport or driver's licence
- A bank or utility statement issued recently that displays your home address
- Evidence that the payment method is yours, for instance a screen capture of the profile page inside your e-wallet, or a photo of the card's face with the central digits masked
2.3 Images should be sharp and in colour, showing every corner of the document, with nothing cut off or edited.
2.4 The name on your account must match your documents and every payment method you use.
Showing your source of funds
3.1 If you start depositing more or your play pattern changes, we might ask where your money comes from.
3.2 Useful evidence includes bank statements and payslips, along with documents about a property sale or money you inherited.
3.3 No withdrawal is released before this check ends. The standard cap of C$30 000 per month on withdrawals continues to apply.
Keeping records and reporting
4.1 Canadian law sets how long we hold the documents you provide for verification, your transaction records and what our checks found, and we keep them for that full period.
4.2 We send details of any transaction that seems suspicious to the appropriate Canadian authorities. By law, we cannot let a player know that such a filing was made.
4.3 Our Privacy Notice explains how we store and protect your personal information.
Screening against sanctions and PEP lists
5.1 We check every player against international sanctions lists and against politically exposed person (PEP) lists.
5.2 These checks also cover people closely linked to a PEP, such as relatives or business partners.
5.3 A match on a PEP list won't mean refusal by itself. It leads to extra checks and closer monitoring instead. A match on a sanctions list means we can't open an account for you or keep one running.
Handling checks that fall short
6.1 If documents are missing or don't match, we pause play, deposits and withdrawals until the matter is fixed.
6.2 If your identity, age, location or source of funds cannot be confirmed, your account will be closed and our relationship with you will come to an end. To the extent applicable law allows, any deposits you made will be refunded through the payment method originally used for them.
6.3 Winnings linked to documents that we discover were faked or tampered with may be cancelled, as set out in our Terms of Service.
Monitoring accounts over time
7.1 Verification does not stop at sign-up. We watch transactions for unusual activity and request updated documents when the ones on file expire.
7.2 Wherever it can, a withdrawal goes back to the method you used for your deposit. Bank Wire / Transfer is available for withdrawals.
7.3 Deposits and withdrawals cost you nothing in fees, even when a check forms part of the process.
